Hello
I'm Gavoury. No, the 'V' is silent. Yes, I know, it's not a common spelling. Why? Well, because I'm from Pondicherry, India. Most names in Pondicherry are spelled in Indo-Anglo-French :-) We never really give it a second thought until we leave our quaint little town and encounter people questioning why such familiar names are spelled so unusually. I suppose it's a reflection of our town's colonial history. For now, you can just call me 'gow-ree'. I currently reside in Massachusetts with my husband, along with our daughter and son.
My Story
Growing up in India surrounded by creative influences, my fascination with arts and crafts was cultivated from an early age. Pursuing creative endeavors was deemed more of a hobby in my youth, leading me to pursue a career in Software Engineering.

However, after moving to the US, getting married, and embracing motherhood, I discovered a newfound appreciation for my Indian heritage and as an immigrant parent, the responsibility of passing it on to my children. Through exposing them and their friends to Indian culture, particularly its rich art forms, I delved deeper into digital artistry, mastering various graphic design tools. Inspired to share the beauty of Indian art with the world and bridge the gap between tradition and modernity, I founded Hustham, meaning "Hand."
While Hustham focuses on Indian art forms, I believe that art is a universal language that transcends borders. Hustham offers handcrafted products that brings digitally designed Indian art forms on contemporary mediums, allowing individuals to express themselves artistically. Hustham's creations are meticulously crafted with a focus on quality and detail, aiming to bring rich ancient traditions into everyday life.
